Slattery's + Little Man Ice Cream

A local restaurant story becomes a community moment

When Slattery's Pub & Grill needed greater visibility, Lu helped turn a local restaurant story into a community moment. She worked with the Mayor and City Council to create a ribbon cutting that kicked off St. Patrick's Day weekend, giving community newspapers a timely photo opportunity and positioning Slattery's as an active part of the neighborhood.

At the same time, Little Man Ice Cream had opened a new shop nearby. Lu saw an opportunity to connect the two businesses and helped create a partnership that made Slattery's one of the area restaurants featuring Little Man Ice Cream as a dessert offering. The result: increased visibility, stronger community connection, and new revenue opportunities for both businesses.

Momentum Formula

Media Exposure + Civic Leader Involvement + Community Photo Opportunity + Strategic Local Partnership = New Visibility, New Customers, and New Revenue Streams

LoHi / Lower Highland

Before "LoHi" — building momentum for an entire neighborhood

Before Lower Highland became known as "LoHi," it was still the Northside: a Denver neighborhood with deep roots, strong community character, and enormous potential. Working alongside real estate broker and developer Paul Tamburello, Lu helped bring visibility to the area by connecting the story of the neighborhood to the people who could help it grow.

Rather than simply promote individual developments, Lu helped build momentum around the neighborhood itself. She supported community engagement through Highland United Neighbors, Inc., helped start HUNI Hours, and helped create the LoHi Merchant Group. Through media placement, events, merchant collaboration, and neighborhood storytelling, Lu helped promote more than 47 developments along with restaurants, local businesses, and community-centered projects throughout the area.

Momentum Formula

Media Placement + Events + Community Engagement + Merchant Collaboration + Development Visibility = Neighborhood Momentum + Long-Term Market Value

Southern Land Company

Community trust built before the building opened

When Southern Land Company entered the LoHi market, Lu understood that success would require more than publicity. A new development becomes part of a neighborhood when the community understands it, experiences it, and feels invited into the story.

Lu encouraged Southern Land's principals to get involved with Highland United Neighbors, Inc. early in the process. She helped host community tours, secured media attention, and created a grand opening reception with a local jazz quartet and strong neighborhood attendance. The result: trust, visibility, community support, and a building that leased quickly.

Momentum Formula

RNO Involvement + Community Hard Hat Tours + Media Placement + Local Event Experience + Word-of-Mouth Referrals = Trust, Visibility, and a Fully Leased Development
